Lukeman Haruna 3t Ghana Regional Coordinator

Dr. Lukeman Haruna is the Project Manager for 3T Ghana’s Community Native Ecosystem Restoration Project in Agogo, Ashanti Region, where he leads the delivery of integrated nature-based restoration initiatives. He oversees end-to-end project implementation, including land acquisition, site preparation, nursery systems, planting operations, and monitoring frameworks, ensuring projects generate measurable climate, biodiversity, and community benefits.

He brings over 10 years of experience in sustainable land management and ecosystem restoration, with expertise in stakeholder engagement, participatory rural assessments, landscape restoration planning, and project coordination. Before assuming his current role, Dr Haruna served as 3T Ghana’s Regional Coordinator in the Western North Region, where he supported the restoration of contiguous degraded landscapes and led community engagement processes aligned with international standards. He has built strong relationships with traditional authorities and local communities, enabling restoration programmes to deliver meaningful economic, social, and environmental impact. Furthermore, he served as District Manager at Quality Control Company Limited (Ghana Cocoa Board) in the Sefwi Asawinso District, where he also coordinated the Cocoa Management System (CMS) and the Ghana Cocoa Traceability System.

Dr Haruna received his PhD in Food and Postharvest Technology at the University of Cape Coast. He holds an MSc in Environmental Science and Policy Management and a Bachelor’s degree in Biochemistry from the University of Ghana, Legon. His academic work includes focus on climate change and cocoa production systems.
