Jacqueline Joyce Twintoh

Jacqueline Joyce Twintoh is a dedicated Principal Technologist at the CSIR-Forestry Research Institute of Ghana (FORIG), specializing in nursery and tree plantation establishment, restoration of degraded landscapes, silviculture, and forest economics. With extensive experience in various plantation development projects, Jacqueline has contributed to initiatives such as Fair Teak Ghana Ltd, Dormaa Forestry Ltd, and the Tree Seed Orchard for the International Tree Seed Centre. She plays a key role in the SKYNET afforestation project in the Banda Hills Forest, which aims to offset carbon footprints, and is actively involved in sustainable wood fuel value chain analysis in Africa.

Jacqueline is also a facilitator for nursery and plantation development training, focusing on the economic impacts of illegal agro-conversion within cocoa and forest initiatives. Her work includes establishing agroforestry plots that integrate cocoa, cashew, tree crops, and food crops under the Modernising Agriculture in Ghana initiative, aimed at sustainability and improving farmers’ livelihoods. As a fascinator for the National Tree Growers Association on the taungya scheme and a participant in the Competitive Cashew Initiative curriculum development, she is deeply committed to advancing agroforestry practices.

Currently pursuing her PhD in Agroforestry at Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, Jacqueline combines her practical experience with academic rigor to foster sustainable forestry practices and enhance the livelihoods of local communities at 3T Ghana.
