Brian McFarland

Brian is an expert with extensive experience in sustainability, global carbon markets, and conservation finance. He managed multiple VCS-CCBS REDD+ projects in Brazil, collaborating with indigenous communities and international organizations to fund local forest conservation. Additionally, Brian financed over 260 carbon projects across 30 countries and 43 US states, generating 22 million offsets, 540,000+ RECs, and planting around 2 million trees.

As a recognized speaker on carbon markets and an author of three books on conservation finance, Brian’s expertise is highly regarded. Brian’s volunteer work includes serving on the Board of Directors for Code REDD, and actively participating in his town’s Conservation Commission and Forestry Committee.

Brian’s contributions extend to 3T as a Founding Partner, providing valuable expertise in sustainability, carbon markets, and conservation finance. His role also includes serving as a certified CCB expert, offering unique insights and guidance.
