We’re excited to share some big news – 3T was selected as a finalist for the Biodiversity Accelerator+ (BA+), and as part of the program, we had the chance to pitch our work to a global audience at COP16 in Cali, Colombia!
For those who might not know, the Biodiversity Accelerator+ is a program designed to support early-stage companies that create positive impacts on biodiversity. Over three months, they provided us with mentorship, resources, and access to an amazing network of investors, partners, and experts, all aimed at helping businesses like ours scale and succeed.
As part of the program, we had the incredible opportunity to pitch at COP16, a massive global forum for biodiversity action. Sharing the stage with other amazing startups, we introduced 3T and our work to develop nature-based carbon removal projects in Africa, which are all about building restorative economies – systems that allow local communities to thrive while restoring nature.
During the pitch, we focused on what makes us tick: including local communities in every step of the process, constantly innovating to improve our impact, and holding ourselves to the highest standards of integrity. We’re proud of what we’ve achieved so far, and it was an honor to share that with such a diverse and passionate audience.
The experience reinforced what we’ve believed from the start: there’s a growing movement of people, businesses, and organizations working hard to protect biodiversity, and collaboration is how we make the most progress. Being part of the Biodiversity Accelerator+ cohort has been a huge privilege – it’s helped us refine our ideas, connect with like-minded folks, and prepare for the next steps in our journey.
